Do you ever wonder why some children have braces more than once? Sometimes early or phase one treatment is necessary to provide a healthy environment for a child to grow and possibly to help prevent future injury to the teeth and gums.

The American Association of Orthodontists recommends the first orthodontic examination at age 7. There is often nothing that needs to be done at this age other than routine observation until comprehensive treatment is indicated, but in the event of a developing problem, it is often better to correct things earlier then later.

We follow young children at intervals of every 6 -12 months to a year and only do orthodontic treatment when necessary. We are very conservative with early treatment at Dr. Matt Gaworski Orthodontics, so you can be absolutely sure that if we render early treatment....it is necessary. We look forward to seeing your little ones when they are 7 years of age! And in the event your child is older than 7, we would like to see them to check their progress and advise on any possible need for future treatment.
