COVID-19 Info

Dear Patients and Parents,

We are here for you and excited to see you soon! 😊

COVID-19 is the news of the day, and we are closely monitoring the situation daily. We are reaching out to assure you that our goal is to go above and beyond to ensure your safety in our office.

We have always practiced universal infection control precautions as outlined by the CDC and OSHA. With that said, we will also be employing enhanced infection control protocols specifically meant to deal with the Covid19 virus. These additional measures are to protect you as well as our team.

This is what to expect at your next visit and as well as upcoming visits for the foreseeable future:

  • First and extremely important: please go to our website Under the patient tab, click on patient forms and you will see two forms: “COVID-19 Pandemic Patient Disclosure” and “Supplemental Informed Consent”. Please complete both forms and submit them online prior to your appointment. If we do not have your paperwork ahead of time, we will need to reschedule your appointment.

  • In compliance with the recommendations for public health, anyone with a cough or fever above 100.4 degrees will not be allowed in the office and should stay home. We will be happy to reschedule your appointment for a later date if necessary.

  • When you arrive for your appointment, we ask that you stay in your car and NOT come directly to the office.  Simply text us when you arrive (719-596-2477), and we will let you know when we are ready for you to come into the office.

  • If you arrive more than 5 minutes late to your appointment, you will unfortunately have to be rescheduled.

  • Before entering our office, you will be required to have your own mask, your temperature will be taken, and we will verbally ask the health screening questions once again. This is to verify there has not been a change in your health status since your written submission online.  You will also be asked to sanitize your hands.

  • At the beginning of every appointment, you will be asked to pre-rinse with 1.5% hydrogen peroxide.  This is to reduce any viral load that may be present in the mouth.

  • At this time, we are asking that only the patient come into the office to be seen for their appointment.  We encourage you to accompany your child to the front door, but we would prefer you would wait outside the office in your car until the appointment is complete.

  • If there are extenuating circumstances that you feel prevent you from waiting outside the office, please contact our office ahead of time so that we can discuss the situation and see if a solution is possible.  Please do not show up without prior notice and expect to enter the office.  This will not be possible.  You will have to choose between waiting outside or rescheduling to a later date.

  • We will call you near the end of the appointment to let you know your child is done and to schedule the next visit.  Expect your child to have a treatment report card for you that outlines progress and what we did that day.  It will also indicate the plan for the next visit and when that will be.  As always, we invite you to call with any questions.

  • Please know we are operating at 50% patient capacity and there are a lot of you out there that really need to see us.  We are literally playing catch up the entire months of June and July.  We will do our best to accommodate everybody.

  • Our safety measures and procedures will continue to evolve as more information becomes available.  Please be flexible.  Your health and wellness are paramount for us.

We really look forward to seeing you!
