Are you looking for help dealing with crooked teeth or an uneven smile? If so, Invisalign could be the answer. Many people believe crooked teeth are an aesthetic concern, but it is far more serious than that. If you have an issue with the alignment of your teeth, it can lead to other oral health issues down the road. While metal braces can be an effective treatment option, Invisalign is also a possibility.

At Dr. Matt Gaworksi Orthodontics and Falcon Ortho, we provide you with a wide variety of treatment options in Colorado Springs and Falcon. Learn more about Invisalign below, and contact us today to make an appointment.

How Clear Aligners Work

With traditional braces, wires and brackets place light pressure on the teeth to move them into the right position. Instead of using wires and brackets to exert this pressure, Invisalign trays will exert pressure instead.

Typically, the trays are made from clear plastic. You will wear each set for two weeks at a time. Once the two weeks are up, you will discard those trays, move on to the next tray, and gradually move down the list until your teeth are in the right positions.

When you have reached the end of the treatment process of the final set, you should see a straight smile in the mirror. We will customize your trays to meet your needs.

The Benefits of Invisalign

There are several important benefits of Invisalign trays. They include:

  • As the name suggests, they are invisible to the naked eye. If you are looking for a treatment option that isn’t obvious to other people, Invisalign trays might be the right option.
  • Because you take out the trays when you eat and drink, you do not have to worry about changing your diet. You can still eat and drink whatever you want.
  • You don’t have to worry about wires and brackets getting in the brushing and flossing. You should have a lower chance of dealing with cavities.
  • Because you move from set to set yourself, you don’t have to worry about returning to the office for repeat visits.

For these reasons, Invisalign trays might be the right option for you.

What To Expect During Treatment

During the treatment process, there are several expectations you should have. First, we will ensure we have a complete picture of your mouth. That way, we can customize your Invisalign trays to meet your needs.

We will also go over the treatment process with you. We will make sure you understand the order of the trays, and we will explain how to take care of them. We want to minimize the chances of you losing your trays.

Even though you don’t have to come back to the office as often, we invite you to reach out to us with any questions or concerns. We want to make sure you are comfortable with the treatment process, and we are always available to help you.
